NATURALCOLORS is different from conventional hair colour. It does not use harsh chemicals to raise the pH level to open cuticles. Instead, natural, molecule-size pigments infuse your hair with colour when exposed to heat. It is low pH. As a result, your hair remains vibrant, soft, and healthy!

With organic argan oil, aloe vera, orange extracts, chamomile, coconut oil, and vitamins. These leave your hair feeling softer, smoother, and shinier!

The importance of applying heat

Chemical hair colours have harsh chemicals and a high pH. Both are used to open the hair cuticle and force colour into the hair. This is damaging to your hair, scalp and health.

NATURALCOLORS pH is very low. It cannot open the hair cuticle with a high pH like chemical colours. Instead, it uses heat to open the cuticle and infuse the colour. Heat opens the cuticles of the hair in the same way as a sauna opens the pores of your skin. There is no itch and no damage to your hair or scalp. This is a much healthier approach than traditional chemical colour, for your hair, your scalp and your health!

Where it says to apply heat you can:

• Use medium heat from a hair dryer, or;
• The ONC Thermal Heat Cap
• Men do not need to use heat

Before using NATURALCOLORS

Hair colours may cause allergic reactions. Temporary black henna tattoos may increase your risk of allergy.

Even if you have coloured your hair with this or another hair colour before, we strongly recommend you conduct a preliminary test two days before every use.

Preliminary test

1. Mix a small amount of Color Gel with Colorfix.
2. Dab a dime-sized amount of this mixture behind your ear or inside forearm.
3. Check the area two days later. Do not use the product if there is any rash, swelling or irritation.

Colour check

To ensure the best colour result, carry out a colour check using the same mix you used for the preliminary test. If your hair is coloured, permed, bleached, or has had a henna colour, it can absorb more pigment and the colour result can be darker. To make the test, take a one inch strand, and wearing the gloves provided, apply the mix. Leave for the full development time. Rinse well and dry.

Once the colour is the one you expect, and there was no reaction to the preliminary test, you are ready to use NATURALCOLORS.

The hair must be clean and free from styling products (Gels, Waxes, Colouring Sprays, etc.) These products can stop the colour from working properly. Make sure to shampoo the hair, but do NOT condition the hair. Hair must be dry.

Preparing NATURALCOLORS

Decide on the amount of colour needed. You can mix the Color Gel and the Colorfix in the bowl provided and apply with a brush or you may mix the Color Gel into the Colorfix bottle, shake well, and apply directly from the bottle. Apply to dry hair.

NATURALCOLORS is a two-step process for hair. You treat the roots and the rest of the hair separately. It is not a single application. Read and follow the instructions for best results.

Do's and Don'ts

Do… ✓

• Be sure your hair is clean and dry
• Mix the Color Gel and Colorfix in a bowl for best results
• Adjust the colour mix for coarse or resistant hair 2:1 (Color Gel : Colorfix)
• Mix first to treat the roots and be sure to pat the hair while applying rather than painting the colour on to the hair with brushstrokes. Then mix again for the rest of the hair
• Use Color Gel and Colorfix immediately after mixing to limit oxidation
• Emulsify/massage colour that is already on the hair with warm water for 2 minutes before shampooing (helps more colour into the hair)
• Shampoo and condition only after emulsifying. As our colours do not have the chemical glue other colours have
  
• Use only colour-safe. SLS-free, paraben free, low pH shampoos and conditioners
• Apply to dry hair

Don’t… X

• Use conditioner just before colouring
• Use the product if the Color Gel has turned black
• Use heat on already coloured or bleached hair except when indicated
• Expect immediate results if you have used henna in the last 3 months 

Women

FOR HAIR THAT HAS BEEN COLOURED BEFORE

If you have thick, coarse and colour resistant hair

LIFT, NATURAL SHADES AND GREY COVERAGE

NATURAL SHADES will not turn black hair blonde. They will lift 1-2 shades.

1N, 2N, 3N, 4N, 5N, 6N, 7N, and 8N will lift your current colour by one shade and cover grey 100%.

10N can lift 2 shades. But does not provide the best cover of grey. Home results may vary. You can take 10N to a professional colourist or stylist. For them to use to lift to the greatest level.

GREY COVERAGE

If you have thick, coarse and colour resistant hair and have bought 6N, 7N, or 8N. You will need support from one shade down for a full cover of grey. You need to buy two boxes of colour. Mix these 1:1. You may use the remaining unmixed colour within 3 months.

LIFT, FASHION SHADES AND GREY COVERAGE

FASHION SHADES will not turn black hair blonde. They will lift 1-2 shades.

4B, 4G, 4M, 4MC, 4RR, 5G, 5R, 5RF, 6C, 6CA, 6G, 6KR, 6RR, 7C, 7G, 7RN, 8CA, and 8G will lift your current colour by one shade and cover grey 100%.

9G and 10C can lift 2 shades. But do not provide the best cover of grey. Home results may vary. You can take 9G, or 10C to a professional colourist or stylist. For them to use to lift to the greatest level.

GREY COVERAGE

If you have thick, coarse and colour resistant hair and have bought one of the Fashion shades. You will need its matching Natural shade for full cover of grey. You need to buy two boxes of colour.

1) Mix 1 fl. oz. of Fashion shade with 1 fl. oz. of Natural shade. Mix this with 2 fl. oz. of Colorfix.

2) Apply this mixture to your roots.

3) Cover your hair with the plastic shower cap provided in the box. Apply heat for 10 minutes for fine hair, or 20 minutes for coarse and/or thick hair. Remove the heat source. but leave the plastic shower cap on for another 10 minutes, then remove the cap.Do not wash or rinse.

4) Now mix 1 fl. oz. of Fashion shade with 1 fl. oz. of Colorfix.

5) Apply this mixture to the rest of your hair. Do not reapply heat! Leave for 25 minutes for fine hair, or 35 minutes for coarse and/or thick hair. Massage your scalp and hair for 2 minutes.

6) Shampoo, rinse. condition: wait 3 minutes. Rinse again. Style as usual.

You may use the remaining unmixed colour within 3 months.

Congratulations! You have now successfully coloured your hair with NATURALCOLORS!

At first use results may vary. After 2-3 uses you will get the full result. Use only colour-safe, SLS-free, paraben free, low pH shampoos and conditioners.

INSTRUCTIONS for MEN

1) Mix the dye. Put it on your hair. Leave it for about 30 minutes for full grey coverage. Or 15-20 minutes for a 'salt and pepper' look.

Do not use heat.

2) Then massage your scalp and hair for 2 minutes.

3) Shampoo, rinse, condition: wait 3 minutes. Rinse again. Style as usual.

Congratulations! You have now successfully coloured your hair with NATURALCOLORS!

At first use results may vary. After 2-3 uses you will get the full result. Use only colour-safe, SLS-free, paraben free, low pH shampoos and conditioners.
